Still struggling with the upgrade a bit.
To my relief, I found a way to remove that horrible Aurora boot up screen. I felt like I was in a rock band, so I flipped out the graphic to a simple wave solid colour. Much more pleasing a greeting on boot.

Time Machine and Parallels are not getting along too nicely. Although I disabled the backup of the parallels directory for the virtual machines (as recommended), time machine is locking in an infinite loop, resulting in a failed useless file. Went through the upgrade process this weekend to Leopard with very few frustrations, but still a few.
